I know we’ve heard a lot about all the kids today cheating using AI, and the literacy crisis, etc etc. and I think that’s all true, but there is a large and growing segment of Gen Z and younger who are rejecting it.

It isn’t nostalgia. This isn’t like when I wore a poodle skirt at the fifth grade sock hop. It is a political and philosophical rejection of being forced to “rent” art from billionaires and being told by an algorithm what art to rent. The kids today want physical media that they own.
